The top connection is made via a friction adjustment shelf and roll pins, while the end of the rail is secured with a barrel nut bracket connected with four captive flat screws. The bottom rail is secured using a friction adjustment shelf and a removable piston with a spring, facilitating quick disassembly and reassembly. The XM4SD model includes two built-in sling attachment points via push buttons, while the XM4SD model offers four sling attachment points. Ventilation grooves along the rails ensure maximum airflow to prevent overheating. The rail is made of aerospace-grade aluminum, CNC machined, according to MIL-1913 standards, and comes with a hard black anodized finish that ensures durability over time and easy maintenance.
